Podcast - one of mine

and the painted chair

Paula the gallery curator with ceramicist Ian Webster

Spent the day setting up the sculpture area for the opening of the Little Gallery of Fine Arts in Tairua on Saturday. It's small but a nice area with a good feeling.

It is really good feeling I can sense that. This passion for sculptures make you so young, so colorful. And your emotional (i guess) nature creates such beautiful creation.

Sometimes, I wonder how much time you work on those, may be you lose your hunger, thirst during work. may be you are in a different world while working through your creation. And that is meditation! Great work!!

Hey Shubhajit...passion for anything makes you young, it lets you forget cares and worries as you are swept along.
I find my art works best when it is parallel to my life. So it is not a separate world but seamlessly weaves in and out of everything I do.
Not for me the separate studio to go and do my art, if I am in the garden I see art everywhere, if I am in my sculpture I see life everywhere.
